Prague – July 29, 2020: One of the most effective ways to fight against COVID-19 is to regularly wash hands and disinfect. The Zentiva team in Prague wanted to do all they could to help protect the people of the Czech Republic, so they developed and produced a strong hand sanitizer and have just reached the 1.5-million-pack production milestone.  The hand sanitizer was developed, manufactured, and supplied to Czech citizens within 4 weeks of the first COVID protective measures being implemented. Zentiva has since donated over 250,000 hand sanitizers to hospitals, healthcare workers, key workers, and vulnerable citizens.   The hand sanitizers produced in Prague are now being used by people in 10 European Countries including Slovakia, Germany, and France.

Prague produced 69 million packs of medicines in the first six months of 2020, it is a growth of 30% compared to 2019 and will invest over 300 million CZK in new technology and equipment to increase medicine supplies.
